Right now, we're working hard to arrange (what we sincerely hope!) will be a return to our usual 10-day programme of community entertainment, events, competitions and activities in June - from Friday 3rd to Sunday 12th inclusive. As this year's Festival coincides with The Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, we are hoping to organise something extra-special for the village, including some unique events and activities.
Our Carnival Parade and Scarecrow Competition theme will be 'A Reign to Remember'...
...commemorating both the historic Platinum Jubilee and some of the most memorable aspects of the past 70 years, giving entrants plenty of scope for the imagination!
Have you seen our fabulous Festival Competitions? Deadlines for entry have recently been extended - so you've still got time to enter!
The Committee strives to deliver a village festival which successfully blends traditional and newer tastes, reflecting our whole community. There are many ways to get involved and we are always glad to hear new ideas.
Did you know that the Festival Parade is open to any groups or individuals, walking and on mobility scooters as well as on floats, and offers annual cups and cash prizes to winners of every category?
So if you've always wanted to join in, now's the time! Take a look at our Parade information here, and take part as an individual or with friends and family this year!
