The Festival Carnival Parade assembles in Vicarage Lane at 11.45am on Saturday 14th June, judging commences 12 noon. The procession leaves Vicarage Lane around 1.15pm and travels along The Street, Sea Lane, Seaview Road, Sea Road and North Lane, arriving at Lashmar Road Recreation Ground around 2pm. Vicarage Lane will be closed to all but residents’ traffic in both directions between 11am and 1.30pm. Information on timings of other road closures that will apply during the procession is now available. Due to circumstances beyond the Committee's control, the Funfair scheduled to take place from 12th to 14th June will sadly no longer take place.

Top prize in the Festival Grand Prize Draw is £250 cash. Other prizes are a Breville Barista coffee machine, Fortnum & Mason Hamper, £150 voucher for Quercus Nurseries, two-course meal at Highdown Hotel; tea for two at Bailiffscourt; £100 voucher for Guess Jewellers; free pass to Parham House & Gardens and a  voucher for the Glorious Spa, Rustington. Tickets will be on sale at events throughout the Festival and the lead up to it. Make sure you are there for the draw at the final event on the Village Green on Sunday 15th June.

Winners of the Photo and Scarecrow Competitions have now been announced. Scarecrows will be displayed in front gardens for the duration of the Festival as part of the Scarecrow Tour.

A special activity for the children of East Preston is taking in a Hide and Seek competition. From 26th May until 16th June, twenty games, or clues to games, will be hidden around the village and you must go seek them! They could be anywhere along The Street and Sea Road (not just in shop windows). Collect a free entry form from Buds ‘n’ Blooms, Seaview Stores or East Preston library (or download here). The prize for three lucky winners is a Hobbycraft voucher.

We're always looking for volunteers. If you can help in any way, we'd love to hear from you

Remember, profits made by the Festival are donated to local organisations.
