EAST PRESTON FESTIVAL

Profits made by the Festival are donated to local organisations each year. The amount to be distributed to local groups following the 2026 Festival totalled £5,450. A full list of which charities, village clubs and other good causes which received a donation can be found here.

 

Many local clubs, societies and charities held their own fundraising events under the festival banner. The groups who did so raised almost £10,000 between them making the total raised this year by the community, for the community, is well over £15,000. Wow! Well done everyone to everyone who joined in.

Although the weather was, once again, unpredictable and sometimes challenging, the Committee still received incredible support. Residents opened their lovely gardens, built fantastic scarecrows and entered the competitions. Villagers, and visitors from the surrounding areas, flocked to village green celebrations, supported charity events, bought raffle tickets, entered competitions, took tours and cheered on the Parade.

The Committee thanks the 2026 Festival sponsors for their generosity, local shops and businesses for their support and the Parish Council for their financial assistance and general encouragement. Also, a big thank you to the festival volunteers and parade marshalls, without whom it would be impossible to stage this 10-day event, and the people of East Preston for their enthusiastic support.
